Look no further!

You will need;
2 days
1 BIG bowl
1 HUGE stock pot
4 lbs white beans (dry)
4 Ham hocks
1 red onion
5 cloves garlic
1 stick BUTTER (not kake butter, not margarine, BUTT-ER!!)

First Rinse beans at approx 8pm the night before you cook them. Remove any suspious beans and possible rocks…(yes I know weird right! but apparently they sneak in looking like beans and have nefarious plans of toothchippery…so beware!!)

Once the beans are rinsed, add water so thet there is 3″ or so covering the beans. Now, go to bed, sleep well and dream of beans.

First thing in the morning, look at the beans..ALL THE WATER SHOULD BE GONE! I KNOW it is like MAGIC! Ok pour teh beans into a colander and rinse them one last time.

Dice the red onion…yes all of it!
Mince the Garlic
Put stock pot on stove turn on heat to medium high.
Put butter in stock pan
As the butter melts add the garlic and the onions
Cook onions until translucent, add hocks…yes all of them..
Stir the whole mess to get a good coating of onions and butter and garlic on the hocks.
Add water…just enough to cover the ham hocks completely.
Boil the hell out of it for 15 minutes.
When the timer beeps, add beans to stock pot.
Add water to cover the beans by an inch or 2 turn heat down to low cook for 3-5 hours to desired consistency…the longer the cook time the more soft the beans and ham become.

Serve alone or over cornbread!
