I am a born and bred Kansas girl. My mother used to listen to Jethro Tull and Melanie when I was in the womb. And my dad still complains about a Hendrix concert that was cancelled more than 40 years ago. I used hide myself in the laundry room at my dad’s house and listen to the radio until I couldn’t stay awake anymore. I still get a little claustrophobic recalling my time scrunched in a corner listening to Foreigner’s Cold as Ice on my clock radio. Music is in my blood.

Sometime in high school I passed out of my Duran Duran phase and discovered my greatest love, Hair Metal. You will never hear me refuse to play hair metal but I love all kinds of music and I think that comes through in my show.

I was a DJ all through college starting out in talk radio doing the weather. I lucked into a gig at a classic rock station and even worked with our own Scott Rhodes and Ian at different stations. Us music types tend to stick together for some reason, maybe because no one else can put up with us.

I chose to do the Friday Night Fetish because it encompasses two of my favorite things: music and partying. If I can play a song that makes your night, then I have done my job right. I love playing your requests and hearing your stories about the songs you want to hear. In return you get to hear the tales of my sordid past and about my unhealthy obsession with Nikki Sixx.
